The September 28, 2019 Preservation Destination at Blakesburg and Oskaloosa will not be happening due to COVID-19 precautions. Though our 2020 Preservation Destination is postponed and we are not able to visit all the wonderful destinations this year- We have rescheduled our Preservation Destination 2021 for these same locations. We hope to see all of you at the same places but different YEAR and DATE!-
MAKE PLANS TO VISIT ALL OF THEM IN 2021!

12p-1p Smokey Row on the town square. Nice eating area in alley with fresh flowers, small tables and plaques of local business and history. If finished eating early, you could browse through the attached Book Vault or explore the city square and its restored band stand.
1:15p-2p McNeill Stone Mansion Bed and Breakfast tour, 1282 C Avenue East, Oskaloosa, IA 52577. Tour of a formerly private home that has had beautiful restoration work. Wonderful place to stay if someone comes ahead. At least 5 rooms to stay in. Delicious breakfast.

2:15p-3:30p Nelson Pioneer Farm and Museum, Mahaska County Historical Society, 2211 Nelson Lane, Oskaloosa, IA 52577 This museum celebrates farmers and has pioneers’ log cabin, village, barn with period equipment, and indoor museum.
