The Iowa Conservation and Preservation Consortium (ICPC) annually offer its members Professional Development Scholarships for attending courses in fields of conservation and preservation. ICPC will reimbursement the selected Professional Development Scholarship members for up to $500.
Eligibility for ICPC Professional Development Scholarships:
- Applicants must be a member of the ICPC or from an organization that has an institutional membership with ICPC.
- Applicants must reside in Iowa or be a college student attending school in Iowa.
- Applicants must be working or who have worked in a museum, historical society, library, archive, genealogical society library, government record office, or other institution that preserves the history and culture of Iowa.
- The scholarship winners must demonstrate that the classes taken will be utilized within the state of Iowa.
- Each winner will provide to ICPC documentation that can be shared with other ICPC members such as a tip sheet or a presentation at a future ICPC event.
What coursework qualifies: Potential conservation or collections-care courses are offered online or in person by a variety of organizations.

Requirement: Scholarship recipients are required either to provide a tip sheet on the material covered or to present at a future ICPC SOS conference (usually in June).
Notification: Applicants will be notified as soon as winners are selected.
Reimbursement: The successful applicant will pay for and take a class and submit verification of course completion; for scholarships used for travel to a course site, travel-expense receipts will be required.
